About Me
I have been practicing Bikram yoga for more than 8 years. My completed teacher training in 2010 and I having been teaching non stop since then. As a yoga teacher I want to share this passion for yoga and the belief in its ability to affect positive changes in peoples live.
I used to be a runner in which I competed in different races from half marathons to full marathons. I had a professional trainer to improve my running technique and I studied to become a stronger runner. After all my training and acquiring a love for running, my body said enough and I started having major problems with my left knee to the point I could not run or walk without pain. It was affecting all aspects of my life. I tried different ways to fix it including physio therapy, chiropractic assistance as well as other forms of exercise, but Bikram yoga is the one form that helped me to get back to normal. In April 2013, I competed in the annual Bhishnu Ghosh yoga asana competition and I got first place. I had the opportunity to go to Vancouver to compete and meet amazing people who have the same passion that I have. I continue to study and practice all types of yoga. Recently (Sept 2016) I got my training completing a thai massage course. The course has been an amazing transformation through touch, anatomy and of course trust. Thai massage is a style of massage that anyone can benefit from as the therapist does the majority of the yoga placing your body in yoga or asanas that help relieve any problems. It will leave you so relaxed! |
